Welding Tips

There are certain steps and protective measures that have to be followed while welding. Some of the common welding tips include:

• Welding should always be carried out in a dry area so that it facilitates circulation of clean air.
• The workspace for welding needs to be clear and free from paints, solvents, chemicals and other flammable materials.
• Proper care should be taken to keep the weld surface clean and free from paint, oil, rust or other contaminants.
• The welder should also maintain a proper distance with the welding surface.
• The operator should take necessary clothing protection to protect himself from harmful sparks, spatters, fumes and rays.
• Care should be taken to protect eyes and face from welding hazards.
• Determination of type of the metal to be welded is also very important and needs to be checked before starting the welding process.
• Proper positioning of the weld gun or torch is also essential for effective welding.
