Welding Safety Devices

Welding safety devices refer to welding accessories that are used in various welding processes to minimize chances of accidents and ensure safety of the welder. These devices also improve welding safety.

Types of Welding Safety Devices
There are various types of safety devices used in welding processes. Some of them are as follows :

• Voltage reduction safety devices : They restrict the maximum unloaded open-circuit voltage to a safe level with minimum visible difference during welding.
• Flashback arrestors : These devices are mainly used in gas welding. They make use of check valves in order to prevent the reverse flow of gas.
• Air systems : They comprise of devices that induce fresh supply of air and other systems that clear out hazardous vapours or fumes.
