Welding Process
The process involves welding materials by using energy that comes in the form of mechanical vibrations. The machine joins to the part to be welded thereby moving it in longitudinal direction. The part to be joined or welded remains fixed. The materials to be welded are pressed together simultaneously. The concurrent action of static and dynamic forces produce a bonding of the parts to be welded without the use of any additional material.
Uses & Applications
The ultrasonic welding machine is used for various purposes. Some of its common applications are:
- Welding plastics
- Joining dissimilar metals
- Metalworking
- Joining complex injection molded parts
- Welding metal alloys
- Automotive application
- Packaging application
