Welding Process
In hot pressure welding, the fusion of materials take place at the point of contact of the parts to be welded. The fusion takes place by the application of heat and pressure that leads to deformation. The deformation of the surface results in cracking the surface oxide film and increases the area of clean metal. Hot pressure welding process is generally accomplished in a closed cavity wherein vacuum or a shielding material can be used.
Types of hot Pressure Welding
There is one variation of hot pressure welding. This is known as the hot isostatic pressure welding. The process involves applying pressure with the help of a hot inert gas in a pressure vessel.
Uses & Applications
There are various uses of hot pressure welding machine. Some of its common applications include:
- Aerospace industry
- Plastic welding
- Medical devices
- Shipbuilding
- Automotive industry
