Brazing Process
The dip brazing process involves creating fusion of materials by heating them in a molten metal or chemical bath. The metal bath acts as the filler material. At times, a non ferrous filler material is used that have a melting point above 427oC, but care should be taken they have melting point lower than that of the base metals. The distributed of filler material in the joint is achieved by capillary action. The next step involves removing the assembly from the bath, cooling and cleaning them for further processing. The joints produced by dip brazing machines are leak proof.
Uses & Applications
The dip brazing machine is used for various brazing purposes. Some of its common applications include :
- Metallurgical application
- Automobile industry
- Joining metals
- Joining steel & brass
